Truman Lake is the largest flood control lake in Missouri. It covers about 55,000 acres. Over 8,000 acres of standing timber were left in the lake to provide aquatic habitat. It has some of the best crappie, catfish, bass, and hybrid fishing year round. There are many miles of Corps. land surrounding the Truman Lake; which provides home to whitetail deer, turkey, waterfowl, and small game, as well as wintering bald eagles.

This is a must visit destination for those looking to escape from the city, or for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts. and fishermen alike. Lots for everyone to see!  

Truman State Park offers something for everyone. With access to over 200 campsites, basic electric and sewer hook ups, shower and laundry houses, hiking trails, swimming beaches, day use area, shelter houses, play grounds, and free public boat ramps you can visit for the day or stay for several nights. Our marina is close by and sells a variety of convenience store items that may suite your needs while you're visiting the Truman State Park.
